Promoting Healthy Schools
This year the Nursery School will be involved in a project
the North Eastern Education and Library Board will be
supporting. Further details to follow.
  Lending Library - All children in the
Nursery School can borrow a book each week.
Storysack Library - Parents who have
attended an information session can borrow a Storysack each week.
The sacks are designed to encourage parents to interact with their
children and discover the wonderful world of story telling, which
in turn will instill in their children an interest in books at an
early age and help children to become lifelong readers. The sacks
may contain a storybook, a fictional book, a puppet and a game.
EMU with St. Joseph's Nursery
Since 1992 we have participated in a cross community project
with the other Nursery School in Antrim. Over the years the
project has developed and we have built up many strong and
lasting relationships.
Throughout the year many trips and events are organized. |

The project has recently included another aspect;
Creativity in the Nursery, which has involved the two schools
working with resident artists. We are hoping to extend this and
incorporate music into our project next year.
Charities
We support NSPCC, Help the Aged, UNICEF, and Antrim Animal
Sanctuary on a rotational basis.
This year we raised £1583.67 for the Antrim Animal Sanctuary.
DELTA (Developing Early Learning and Thinking Abilities)
This is a parenting programme, which runs for 5 evenings.
